Audi A6 3.0l TDI Stage 2 390ps

The car on our “test bench” is a 2013 Audi A6 3.0 TDI with 313ps and 650nm with only an exhaust modification. This car was previously tuned by another company but the owner was not impressed/satisfied with the power levels and the overall feeling of the car.He decided to do some dyno passes first and some data logging to confirm his suspicions and compare with the road measurements that he had already done after his ecu remap.

After we found out that the power was lower then expected (around 49ps less) we started analyzing the car and saw that the tune was not made to fit the stock dpf and exhaust system of the car and the boost settings were way to low to produce any kind of serious power to this engine.

We were convinced as we have seen in the past on those engines that the car could do better both in torque and ps numbers. So after we did a small modification to the exhaust system we started to tune the car and here are the results.

In the above dynosheet you can see the differences on the power levels from both tunes. Our end result was 390ps and 834nm which is much higher than the previous remap. You can notice a big drop on the power at 4050rpm which is normal when you are using a stock exhaust system which does not allow a greater gas volume to exit the engine.

In case you are wondering YES the automatic Gearbox can take that power without damaging the internals and if you service it on time it will never give up on you.
