Audi S3 8V 440PS

Once again today we visited the per4mance-Industries / per4mance-Exhausts headquarters to tune(remap) some of their unique cars. As we keep saying that the Ea888 Gen3 Tsi is one marvelous engine and here is the proof. The Guys in per4mance-Industries / per4mance-Exhausts decided to take the new 2015 S3 8v DSG in the next level by installing a complete 90mm exhaust system specially made for this car while also changing the turbocharger with a TTE 470 PS turbo and a bigger inter-cooler system.

After the installation of those parts, we placed the car on their superflow dyno to begin the process of ecu remapping. The engine needs to be tuned with 98 octane fuel so we will keep the boost levels of the car low to gain the power we need and have all the safety of a daily driven car with low octane fuel rate. Coming with 300.5 ps (221kw) initially this s3 will gain so much power with this setup that will cover the needs of any fast driver out there.

After some hours of data-log analysis and tuning of the continental Sim12 engine  management system the magic numbers came with only 1.7 bars of over-boost and 1.55 bars of constant boost pressure until the rev limiter.

440Ps and 516Nm Came out from a TTE470 Turbo using the stock internals, a bigger inter-cooler and a 90mm exhaust system.

Clearly the potential of the turbocharger is greater since we have the max power close to the rpm limiter, but as we mentioned before the tuning was done for 98 octane fuel so we needed to keep the ignition retardation in low levels (-3 degrees maximum).

The quality of the work we have seen once again from per4mance-Industries / per4mance-Exhausts is excellent and as we always are careful with our software upgrade packages, we tested this car with every gear by using one of the most advanced superflow dynamometers on the market.
