Seat Ibiza Cupra 1.8 TSI Stage 1+ 260 Ps 409 Nm

While engine ‘downsizing’ is popular amongst manufacturers looking to increase economy, SEAT has seen fit to put a bigger engine in its Cupra hot hatch. Not only that, but the Spanish car maker has also done a U-turn on the gearbox, with the automatic-only Cupra now coming with just a six-speed manual gearbox. This one is a manual one and we love it.

This fourth generation Ibiza Cupra 6J is equipped with the ea888 gen3 1.8 Tsi engine producing 192 PS (141 kW; 189 hp) / 6200 and 320 N⋅m (240 lb⋅ft) / 1450-4200 built from 2015 and after.

Our client has installed and aftermarket exhaust and a free flow air filter to maximize the gains of our software.The remap to this simos 18.1 engine management system has been done via the obd 2 diagnostic port and here are the results before and after the tune.

Using our awd rolling road we made measurements before and after the tuning procedure and the results can be seen in the picture above.

Stock measurement : 219 Ps 340nm (192 ps and 320nm advertised) Due to hardware upgrades

Stage 1 remap : 260 Ps and 409 Nm using 100 octane fuel
